Kate McGregor is in a league of her own. The founder of the well-edited eponymous shop Kaight in New York City is one of the first to dedicate their entire space to eco clothing and accessories that are ethically made and eco-friendly in nature.

A former journalist and reporter, Kate certainly has a knack for eco fashion sleuthing. She brings us the best of environmentally-friendly style via out-of-the-box designs + one-of-a-kind pieces. Among those brands that have made the eco fashion cut are made-in-the-usa brand Big Star Denim; heritage brand Pendleton; and Olsen Haus vegan boots.

Now, we're all looking for clothes that aren't a yawn + a snore: special pieces that are fun + flattering. I stopped mid mouse-click when I came across this billowy dress in a deep, rich crimson hue from indie label Feral Childe {named the Bookends Dress}, and so I called to Kaight's in New York to find out what size might work best for this willowy body of mine. The associate on the phone was attentive + amiable and offered to send the measurements via email {which she did within the hour}.

I'm keeping my eye on this shop as it hits my fashion sweet spot with their mix of comfy essentials and striking pieces that really elevate your wardrobe to a head-turning level. Enjoy!
