{About Last Night}

Some people shower in the morning, others bathe at night. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I love taking baths. Nothing relaxes my mind + soothes my body like a good soak in the tub right before bed.

Having learned that synthetically produced chemicals + toxins found in textiles can easily penetrate our skin, we're adding some super supple + sustainable towels to the lavatory.

So let's continue on our journey to green our homes this week. So far, we've spread a little green magic in our bedrooms with eco-friendly bed linens, and we've sprinkled a bit of good into our kitchens with nontoxic dish soap + household cleaners {laundry detergent, too}

Today, let's make our bathrooms a little safer. Here's a list of organic goodies to transform your plain ole powder room into a luxurious, green spa:

{luma} LUMA's cotton supplier in India is a fair trade partner with Oxfam and Greenpeace, and its Peruvian partner has led fair trade projects in Peru for over 20 years. many of LUMA’s accessories sustain remote communities that depend on their traditional skills and support poverty relief efforts. natural cotton is grown by rural communities in developing countries to produce LUMA's lovely towels.

{shoo foo} bamboo towels made of 100% organic bamboo fibers at 600 grams per square meter, these towels are soft + absorbent and versatile enough to be a daily luxury. you can also find them at ethical ocean.

{coyuchi} GOTS-certified organic bath linens are made with quality, care and fine detail. coyuchi towels are loomed from pure organic cotton, in colors drawn from earth, water and sky. soft and thirsty, they're designed to dry quickly on the towel bar and in the dryer. cotton is 100% organic, and sourced and woven in India.

{king of cotton} no pesticides or chemical fertilizers are used in the growing of the cotton crop used for these towels, and even though this produces a lower yield crop, the final result is one of purity, both in the quality of the textile and the effects on the earth itself. the 650 gsm fair trade organic cotton towels are the result of a highly ethical agricultural practice resulting in a beautifully soft, deep pile towel.

{gossypium} 100% fair trade towels made from African cotton from Mali and Burkina Faso. they are light weight, saving energy on washing and drying. so, a little dab will do ya!

okay, the time to hesitate is through! let's get organic. all together now.

here's a great read if you're interested in learning more about synthetic dyes and the effects on the environment + our health.
