{Eco Blogger of the Week} Holland Seydel: Nature Versus Nurture

Wednesday, June 5, 2013

Today's Eco Blogger takes us to the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, a place described as "a choice destination for hippies in the 1960s," {ah, good ole Wikipedia} Boulder, Colorado.

Once, on a cross-country road trip, I got lost in Colorado. It was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had getting lost. So scenic and so peaceful, I had the right mind to declare myself found and move into the nearest rental.

Holland Seydel hails from Boulder, where she pens HauteNature, an eco blog dedicated to sustainable style from bath + beauty products, accessories + apparel {cue cute organic graphic tee}, to furnishings + home decor {like the glass decanter lighting made from vintage finds by Lee Broom}.

HN was founded in the summer of 2006 as an online resource guide to catalog smart creative reuse ideas, art, design and cutting edge eco inventions. The focus at HauteNature is on innovative methods of harnessing the earths resources without waste. The site is edited by Holland, by day a real estate agent, by night a fighter of green crime, or at least promoter of sustainable practices.

In addition to working on this online publication, she is also quite the creative - give this woman a brush, a pencil, a needle and she's bound to create something. She dabbles in oil painting, metal smithing, sculpting, designing furniture + products as well as interiors and architecture.

Check out her blog full of green goodness right on over here.
