{simple pleasures} discovery: french new wave cinema

she's in a world of her own. she demands authenticity of herself and others.
she mistrusts what isn't sincere + open.

{today's simple pleasures}

paris poster child: a leisurely stroll through le marais proves much more fruitful than i could ever imagine. a poster reveals the work of french cinematic director jean-luc godard, father of new wave cinema. and in the unearthing of his great oeuvre, i discovered this dance scene from bande à part. positively enchanting.

the muses are heard: anna karina, godard's muse + lover, starred in several of his films and anyone who can rock out an oversized boyfriend sweater with a plaid skirt + a fedora is alright in my book. individuality, that's what fashion is all about. don't forget to put a smile on it!
