{eco brand} pippin's picks: des petites hautes

Friday, March 18, 2016

this week's eco brand is french label des petites hautes, founded by sister duo vanessa + katia sanchez over 15 years ago. dph uses responsibly sourced textiles + fair trade manufacturing. these soft, poetic pieces are crafted of hemp, linen + cotton blends with delicate open work knitting + unique crochet details.

dph lists their fine knit jumpers as end of the summer items, but i think they're the perfect beginning of spring sweaters {just right for layering}. vanessa describes their indie fashion label as "well cut, in beautiful natural materials, with an attention to detail. this has become our identity."

katia has said, "si j'eatia un objet, je serais un boite de crayon de couleurs . . . pour dissnser la vie in plus jolie." in english: if she could be an object, she would be a box of colored  pencils . . . to draw life a little more lovely." marvel at those gorgeous necklines + flattering cuts.  katia + vanessa are definitely making life lovelier, one petal pink sweater at a time.

if i was a material thing or a tangible object, i think i'd be a ray of sunshine and i'd stream in through windows, warming people , brightening their days + pepping up wilted plants {sweet friends iwth scientific minds, sun rays may not fall under the tangible category, but bear with me on this one!}.

until next time, stay green dear hearts!
